Drinking Game

This one made a Drinking game Meme about his life. His is silly, go look at it.

So decided to as well.

Alcohol of choice...Smirnoff Vokda I suggest Smirnoff Twisted, in Vanilla, Watermelon, Raspberry or Mango.

Take a shot if:

-Jason talks about how depressed he is (including tweets about how bad his day is).
-Jason buys a new DVD (including depression induced Amazon sprees).
-Jason quotes a movie, then proceeds to explain which movie and talk about how you should go watch it as you stare at him blankly.
-Jason buys a comic book.
-Jason buys extravagant and pointless electronics for kicks (two shots if it's a new Apple product).
-Jason complains about his girlfriends cat who lives with him.

Maybe another shot if Jason ever gets more that 5 hours of sleep a night...but we all know that's never going to happen.

On a completely different note. I woke up at the Girlfriend's place today, went to take a shower and found Suave Shampoo...this in unacceptable. Suave Shampoo is for poor people and Charlie Sheen. I demand Garnier Fructis.

But at least I'm having a good enough day that the worst thing I can complain about his how my girlfriend is using the wrong brand of shampoo.

Energy Solutions Arena stole all my energy.

The Woman and I went and saw Bon Jovi at Energy Solutions Arena last night (it will forever be The Delta Center to me). It was a great show.

Our seats were at the very top.....seriously..the very top. And those steps are steeper than normal stairs.
Made me realize I was very out of shape, which...I already knew, but now everyone I sat next to became aware.

In the end our sears didn't matter, we stood up most the concert and had a great time.

And now I blog about it on my new iPad
Because I loves it so damn much!!

Best thing ever!!!!

Blogging from my iPad! It's super delicious.
It's very pretty.
And surprisingly easy to type on.
I'm excited to waste all my time with this.

I bought GarageBand, and I'm ready to make lots of shitty music!

And I'm going to buy Brushes and make multitudes of crappy drawings.

And I'm going to browse ALL OF THE INTERNETS!!!

Every Damn Year

Every March 17, never fail, I forget about St. Patricks Day. You know why?...BECAUSE IT'S A POINTLESS HOLIDAY!!!

no one even knows why it's named after St. Patrick anymore. Especially people in the US. We have no reason to celebrate this day. Besides, it was originally a celebrated religious holiday for feasting...and not surprisingly that morphed into a day to get as drunk as possible, as fast as possible.

Any why the he'll does it matter I you wear green.
I rarely wear green. I have one green shirt, and it's ugly. So no...I'm not going to go out of my way to wear green on this particular day. Most of the time I totally forget.
And every year, because I'm not wearing green, people feel like it's their privilege to constantly remind me I'm not conforming, and threaten to pinch me.
They never actually do pinch. Mostly because I threaten them with worse physical violence if they were to. By it's a constant all day annoyance.

Does this really matter? Just go drink to your hearts content and leave me out of it.

--------

On a slightly less (but still very) annoying note.
I got two Fed Ex deliveries today. One was the HDMI connected for my iPad... And the other was the Orange Smart Cover for my iPad.
My iPad is still at least three days away : ( it's super frustratIng to get the accessories for my expensive new toy before even getting said toy.

padded!

Well, it's done.
The iPad 2 was released March 11th.
So I ordered one. I bought it online through Apple. Free shipping and free engraving.
16gb Wi-Fi version.
Black, with a bright orange cover : )
Along with spending money on the cover, I dropped a bit on the HDMI connector as well. So I'll be able to see ecerything from my iPad on my delicious TV.

And, because I named my iPod Desdemona...I was considering naming the iPad Ophelia, but maybe I should branch away from Shakespeare.

Anyway...four days later and this morning I finally git an e-mail confirming that my iPad has shipped. It's in China.
: ( anyway. It'll be here soon, and I'm crazy anxious for it to ge here. I've been watching way to many videos and reading so many articles about said iPad.

Caaaaaaan't waaaaaaaaiiitt!!!!!!!

uh oh...

They annouced the iPad 2 yeterday.

I spent over an hour watching the keynote speach, and was sadly more impressed than I should have been.

Yes there are flaws. not as much RAM as expected. And while it's exciting to get cameras for the new iPad, it's lame that they're the same crappy cameras on the iPod, not even close to comaring to the cameras on the iPhone 4.

The new cover is a great idea.

Also the adapter to connect and HDMI cable to the device is awesome! plus that adapter is compatable with the iPhone 4 and iPods 3 and 4.

All around...I geeked out over it.

over the last few years I've become a pretty big Apple fan.
Been using iTunes for along time now. had a couple of iPods.
I'll probably never own an Apple Computer, but I do really love the idea of a tablet. all the possiblities are great. I'd read the "newspaper" in tablet form. I'd probably write more (laptop is great fir that though), I've love to play with some art applications that are larger than the 3 inch screen of my iPod.

Basically...I think I'm going to buy one on the 11th when they come out.

My biggest concern was that I had previously deciced to blow my next paycheck on the Nintendo 3DS. this comes out on March 27th...so I had a crazy hard decision to make....then I realized...that if i just dont spend any money on anything else this month...I could probably buy both... Now I'm torn because I do want to start saving more money.
But i REALLLY like getting new toys : )

Update

On Jan 4th I had a bad day at work.

I had to listen to a scared lady being verbally and physically abused as she constantly pressed her panic button for help.

After the inital call I left work (because it was the end of my shift), and I didn't ever bother to find out how the alarm was closed. I didn't want to because it's emotionally hard to go back to calls like that. a few days ago I dug up the info and looked at the call. The dispatcher that closed the alarm for me called the Police Dispatch to follow up.

Aparently when the police showed up she denied he had been hurting or threatening her.

My coworker was forced to close the alarm as "False Alarm, No help needed, no abuse took place, per PD"

This made everything worse for me. I literally heard this lady beg for help and beg for her life for 35 minutes. And no action was ever taken agaist the guy abusing her.

I even advised to the police that we record all our calls. the recording clearly proves physical and verbal abuse to disable elderly man and woman. The "suspect" even announces his name on tape. but because of the lady's fear...nothing's going to happen.

I love my job, but it's situations like this that make me hate humanity.

Proper Fanboy Status Acheived!

So, for pretty much all my life I've considered myself a gamer. I grew up with all the incarnations of the nintendo and gameboy systems, and I had friends a plenty with every other system.
I have my own Nintendo wii and fully plan on purchasing the Nintendo 3DS in March.
Also my Girlfriend recently purchased a Playstaion 3 and (within the last year) an Xbox 360....so, Gamer status fully recognized.

Morso than a gamer. I consider myself a film conniseur. I review movies (sometimes) and obsess about all the new ones. I study actors and directors, and have massed a decent sized DVD collection over the last few years that is continually growing.

What is one very important thing that Video Games and Movies have in common.

Yes, a television.
And not any television. A Widescreen 40" HD 1080p 120hz LCD Television.

Now, the TV I've been rockin for the last 5 years is fine. just a nice flatscreen 24" (heavy bastard). And it's been fine. it has a few spots on the screen that turn green if it's been on for more than 3 hours...but it works.
that said....it's a peice of crap. My movies and video games deserved more. And now that I have a Widescreen 40" HD 1080p 120hz LCD Television I know that.
Even without any high definition settings turned on...everything is so pretty.
Now that I have a ridiculously nice television I love watching movies and playing video games more than ever!

Food journal fail.

Another failed project.
This one I'm not sad about, writing everything down that I eat was kind of annoying. Still going to watch what I eat a bit and work out. But not going to write shit down anymore.

Also I'm going to keep writing mood reviews. I'm just not going to do it full time...no real point with 5 readers. But I'm taking a small movie break, been watching crazy amounts of TV on Netflix, I finished LOST finally, watched all of Dead Like Me and I'm plowing through Weeds.
